1973 Mustang Project Car
1973 was the final year of the original 'pony car', which is of course renowned the world over for being one of the most recognizable car brands of all time. 1971-1973 Mustangs were not produced in as high-volume numbers as the 1965-70 cars and the Grande models were perhaps the most forgotten models of them all, despite being good-looking cars and offering a highly comparable driving experience to their 1960's counterparts.
Fun fact: the 1973 Mustang was the longest Mustang ever built, at over 16ft in overall length. Our 1973 Mustang Grande originally came with a 302 CID V8 backed by a 3-speed manual transmission (both long gone). Originally it was a Blue on Blue car.
Our 1973 Ford Mustang Grande for sale comes in pretty rough shape but has a very solid foundation for a project car. As you can see in the pictures the floorboards, trunk and frame are all in very good condition with very minor rust. This car is 46 years old and to find one with solid floors and trunk is a very nice surprise. We bought this car with the sole intention of parting it out. It has several desirable options including the tach with under dash wiring harness, the manual shift pedal assembly and the Mach 1 Hood. After looking closer at the how solid the car is, we decided to offer it up a project car first, before we start cutting it apart. Here can be your opportunity to start a project without all the rust.
We are always open to offers and trade. I you have any questions give me a message or call. Andy text or call 260-267-4828 Andy@fatmansgarage.com.
