This is an SM420 4 speed manual transmission that came out of a 1952 gmc 1 Ton pickup truck. i believe this was used in gm vehicles from 1948 to 1967 however i encourage you to do your own research as well as reference the part number, 591907, to ensure fitment and condition before purchase. This has the date code E82 on it, as well as con5 and 7 GM right above the part number. the top portion of the case has the part number GM 691568
